Introduction

UAKGQuery is a CORBA service for database access.

Intention:

1. To provide universal CORBA API for database access.
2. To provide integration of DB transaction into CORBA model of distributed transactions.

Description of usage

Application programmers use UAKGQueyry CORBA API for database access, by linking application with client-side UAKGQuery libraries. Also supported embedded UAKGQuery Service into applications, by linking it's with server-side libraries.

Programming Environment Requirements

• Database server - Oracle on any platform.
• Server-side operation system: Sun Solaris, Linux, Windows NT. (port to any posix compabilite system is possible)
• Client-side operation system: Sun Solaris, Linux, Windows NT, FreeBSD (port to any posix compabilite system is possible)
• ORB: OmniORB-3.0, ORBacus-4.03, TAO-5.1
• Transactions is supported when used ORBacus 4.x and OB OTS.

Executable and libraries set

• Service as executable file
• Library for embedding server part of service into end-user application with collocated UAKGQuery calls
